1st edition of the Summer School “Inclusion and Sustainability in Vulnerability (ISV): A Transdisciplinary Approach

CALL for participation – deadline 18 August 2025

We are pleased to announce the 1st edition of the Summer School “Inclusion and Sustainability in Vulnerability (ISV): A Transdisciplinary Approach”, co-organized by the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the HEurope HRJust project (with the involvement of the University of Bern). The summer school will take place  in Norcia (PG), Italy, from September 15 to 19, 2025.

The Summer School is open to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any academic field. This intensive five-day interdisciplinary program will focus on  climate change, human rights and vulnerability. The Summer School includes lectures, workshops, field visits, and group work in English. Among the professors: Prof. Maura Marchegiani (University for Foreigners of Perugia) and Prof. Elisa Fornalé (World Trade Institute of the University of Bern) as part of the Scientific Committee, and Prof. Patricia Galvao from the UN International Law Commission, and Prof. Ester Herlin-Karnell (University of Gothenburg) as lecturers.

The participation is free of charge and all costs (accomodation, meals, travel and social activities) will be covered by the Organizers. The Summer School have 20 places available and to participate to the selection procedure please send your application (CV, Letter of Application and a valid ID) to martina.pennino@unibe.ch by August 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM (CET).

Please note that the application procedure described above is part of a special HRJust project selection track. Applicants who wish to be considered through this track should submit their application by email, as indicated above in this call. Applications for the HRJust track will only be accepted via email to martina.pennino@unibe.ch.
