On 12 December 2024, we hosted the webinar  “Human Rights in the Context of Contemporary International Law and Transdisciplinarity: A Book Discussion” with Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache. The event is part of the Human Rights Justification: Empirical Webinar Series organized by the Institute of International Relations in Prague within the framework of the activities of HRJust WP7 (Empirical – cross-cutting) activities. About the event

During the webinar, Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache presented and discussed her book The dynamism of international public contemporain and transdisciplinary(Les Editions l’Harmattan, 2023) and the collective volume Le droit international en transition (Les Editions l’Harmattan, 2024), which examine the evolving dynamics of public international law through a transdisciplinary lens, focusing on its interference with contemporary social and technological changes.

Due to diverse social, political, and economic changes in the legal theory of international law, Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache highlighted the importance of using inter- and multi-methods of analysis and transdisciplinary, thus fighting against the return to patterns of cognitive standardization and highlights the importance of preparing for this new era. Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache is chair of the International Institute for the Analysis of Legal and Administrative Mutations, associate professor in public international law and in the law of communications and new technologies, co-convenor of ESIL IG International Business and Human Rights, researcher at CIRET Paris, editor-in-chief of Adjuris International Investment Law Journal, deputy academic editor at Cogent Social Sciences – Taylor & Francis and guest advisor editor at Springer Nature.
