Gender-Based Violence in Academic Settings: Policy Evolution and Work Ahead

This talk examines the evolution of EU policy on gender-based violence, which only gained significant attention in 2018 despite long-standing recognition by feminist scholars. It covers key policy milestones, including the ERAC Working Group’s 2020 recommendations, and presents findings from the Horizon 2020 UniSAFE and GenderSAFE projects, revealing high prevalence rates, especially among minoritized groups.
